From the Dugout – Rob Webb

1 December 2025,

We’re finally back!

It feels like a long time ago since that fantastic 2–0 performance in the FA Vase against Bearsted. Credit to Bearsted they were a fantastic side, but the boys finished when it counted and did everything we asked of them on the day.

Well… apart from one thing of course: Toby Bridges taking the penalty! Fair play to him for stepping up though, especially after Thumwood twisted his sock in the build-up.

To top things off, keeping a clean sheet against a team who had scored in every single game this season was a real highlight.

Since then we haven’t had a competitive game, but the lads have been training twice a week without fail, and the squad have been submitting their mandatory runs to Barney in exchange for less running at training. Darcy set the standard with a brilliant 5K time of 18:39.

With a run of away games coming up, I hope you enjoy the treat of a last-minute home match today. We also hope to see you tomorrow for our Christmas Charity Match, kicking off at 2pm, featuring the Men’s, Women’s, Vets and Club Volunteers.

We appreciate your support.
