Wearing the Red & Green
On the 2nd February 2011, the original Windsor & Eton Football Club was wound up in the High Court. Wearing the Red and Green chronicles, in 344 pages, the complete history of this proud club. From its relationship with the Royal Family, to incredible FA Cup runs, stories of Sir Bobby Robson switching on the floodlights, to league titles, promotions, cup successes (and failures), relegations, and incredible friendlies against the likes of Arsenal, Red Star Belgrade and Ajax. Oh, and a story about an American soldier who set fire to the main stand during WWII while having sex with a local girl at the back of it!
Windsor & Eton wasn’t just any non-league football club. It was a club with a proud history. These memories and stories deserve to be shared and remembered.
