From a fixture perspective, it’s been a frustrating period, and we now find ourselves with over a quarter of the season still to play in less than a month.

It’s a situation that, in our view, could have been avoided but one we now have to embrace. We’re looking forward to getting into a consistent run of games and, hopefully, fewer disruptions.
In our last home game against Amersham (you’ll spot that I put these notes together before Saturday), we were excellent for around 40 minutes, and the quality of our goals spoke for itself.
It was disappointing not to maintain that level in the second half, but the boys handled things professionally and got the job done. Credit to Amersham as well, they’re dealing with injuries and availability issues, but they were a tougher test than the scoreline suggests.
We’ve brought in a few additions over recent weeks to help us manage the busy schedule ahead. We’re delighted to have signed Tre Woolliscroft who has joined us from Saturday’ opponents Ashford, a player Matty and I have admired and tracked for a long time. We’re also delighted to welcome Jerome Okimo, who joins us following his professional retirement last season as Barnet captain.
We’re expecting a strong contest today. Your support makes a huge difference, so we’re looking forward to hearing you get behind the boys as you always do.
Enjoy the game and we hope to see you over the Easter break.
