Match Report
Our Under 18s put in an excellent performance last night to defeat Hayes & Yeading 3-0 at Stag Meadow.
After creating several early chances it took a bit of trickery and a surging run from Lucas Lindstrup to beat two Hayes’ players, get to the byline and cross left footed to the far post where a soaring header from Enzo Pashaj gave the Hayes’ keeper no chance to put the home side 1-0 up after 25 mins.
We continued to dominate and Lucas Lindstrup was extremely unlucky when his 30 yard, thunderous shot rattled the Hayes cross bar and came back into play only to be cleared.
The 2nd half saw us continue to dominate and create chances but it took another bit of magic to put the home side 2-0 up. Laurence Wijngaarden played a great one/two with Oli Bach on the right hand edge of the Hayes box before he drove in a left footed shot to beat the Hayes’ keeper at his near post.
Chances continued to come and go for Windsor before a low cross across the box allowed substitute Leo Godwin to tap home a 3rd goal in the 89th minute, much to delight of a sizeable crowd with added roars from the supporting Windsor Senior team who had just finished training.
Overall some great football played by the U18’s, a team which is continuin to develop nicely.
