Match Report
A much improved Hayes & Yeading reversed their 3-0 defeat at Stag Meadow four days earlier to win this encounter 4-1. The home team played an aggressive and high press 1st half which gave Nick Hall’s side no time on the ball and harried them out of their normal free flowing football. During the first 45 minutes the home side nullified our threat whilst scoring two goals themselves to go into the halftime break 2-0 up.
Although we were much improved in the 2nd half we failed to take any of several clear cut chances that came our way and then proceeded to go a further goal down before Lucas Lindstrup pulled a goal back from the penalty spot with 10 minutes to go, but that still left time for Hayes & Yeading to score a penalty of their own and run out 4-1 winners.
