As part of our continued commitment to transparency around our proposed 3G pitch at Stag Meadow, we wanted to share a further update on the progress of our planning work.
We’ve recently been made aware that if we are to deploy stewards on the access road to help manage matchday traffic, we need to have the relevant authorisations in place with the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead (RBWM). Our intention has always been to help guide traffic flow safely and support residents in keeping this road clear for them on busy matchdays.
We are however, now in very helpful discussions with RBWM to understand how best to take this forward and what practical options are available.
In parallel, we have also asked to meet with the Highways Officer at RBWM to obtain their input into the Traffic and Parking Management Plans for Stag Meadow, including how the site will be used when the proposed 3G pitch is in operation.
Other specialist workstreams required for the planning application also continue to progress, including:
- Ecological Assessment
- Biodiversity Net Gain planning (targeting at least a 10% improvement)
- Lighting design and light spill control
- Drainage and Flood Risk Assessment
Once these meetings have taken place and the reports are finalised, we will hold a follow-up meeting at the club for local residents. This will allow us to communicate the details of the proposed traffic and parking measures, as well as other aspects of the planning application, and to seek residents’ input before submission.
The date for this meeting will be confirmed once we have completed the relevant discussions with RBWM and Highways.
