Our first link-up with Kieran Jordan this season. Kieran signed for us in the Summer but has played at Stag Meadow previously.
“Yes, I played for Windsor FC in season 2021/22. I’ve also played at Thatcham Town and most recently Flackwell Heath.”
We’ve seen you in action at full-back, what do you see as your best position?
“I’d say my best position is full back, I’ve played this position for the last few years now and was reluctant at first, but I do believe it’s where I’m best on the pitch.”
What are your strengths and what would you like to be better at?
“I’d say my athletic ability. My speed helps with defensive situations as well as attacking. I’d like to get better at dictating the game in possession. I think that’s something full backs are asked to do at times.”
Who’s the best player you’ve played with in a team?
“Danny Namaso, he’s currently on loan at Auxerre from Porto! I played a couple times with him when I was younger, he made everyone on the team better which I always think is the sign of a good player.”
Have you set yourself a personal target for the season?
“I’d like to get back to getting more goal contributions for the team – that’s something I’ve lacked in recent seasons.”
Who would you have as the first name on your WEFC teamsheet?
“Right now, I’d say Luke Appleton, been solid in every game so far this season and is a great leader.”
Any footballing superstitions?
“No. None, I’m not a superstitions person.”
Away from Football, what do you do?
“I’m a data engineer, so installing data cabling in offices etc.”
Who do you support (pro club)?
“I’m a big Arsenal fan. The best players I’ve seen live are Fabregas and Ozil. I don’t really know if there’s a player I’d liken myself too, but right now I enjoy watching Jurrien Timber!”
If you could be a pro at any sport other than football, what sport?
“I’d say Tennis as I enjoy watching it.”
