Thanks to George (Champion) for organising this week’s quickfire Q&A with Under 18 midfielder Kieron Johnson.
What’s your best position, biggest asset….and what do you want to be better at?
“I feel most comfortable playing in midfield and feel it is my best position. I like to think my passing is a strength and my ability to read the game. Confidence is something I’m building back up. I’m coming back from a long-term. I would like to improve on my shooting as well. It’s not as important for a midfielder, but I’d like to be better from long range.”
Do you have a pre-match food of choice?
“I always go for Scrambled egg on toast!”
Biggest footballing influence?
“As a player, that would be my mum and my grandad. They take me to training, and games, and are always there to help out when I need it.”
Best player of the Premier League era?
“I would say my favourite footballer would be Eberechi Eze for Crystal Palace. We play in similar positions, and I take parts from his game.”
Best shirt you’ve seen in the last couple of years and your football boot of choice?
Brentford’s pink away shirt from this season (I’m a Brentford supporter). Boot wise, it has to be Adidas for me. The fold over tongue Predator being the best boot at the moment.”
Who wins the Premier League and Championship?
“I personally believe Liverpool will win the premier league this season as they look strong under new management. I think Sunderland might just win the championship – but it will be very close at the top.”
