Match Report
Matt Angell’s side extended their winning run to ten games, following a 3-1 win in the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup away at step 5 side Wokingham Town. In extremely wet conditions, Matt made a handful of changes to the side that won on Saturday, the two most prominent being goalkeeper Tom Henry, who came in for his first start of the season, and defender Nico Commock, who has signed on dual registration from step 3 side Marlow. In the 22nd minute, Ash Howes continued from his excellent performance on Saturday by slotting in the opening goal. The game was competitive thereafter and the home side thought they were back in it when Kasper Hok headed in an equaliser with 9 minutes left on the clock. But their celebrations were cut short, when just a minute later substitute Adam Crocker put us back in front. A fluffy of cards, including one red for the home side’s Denis Maximiu, followed, but the action didn’t finish there as there was still time for Sean McDonnell to make it 3-1, deep into injury time. The winning run continues and we look forward to the draw for the next round!
