Match Report
A crowd of over 500 streamed into Stag Meadow for this season’s annual non-league day, but sadly the big crowd weren’t able to see the home side return to winning ways. In what was an uneventful first half, neither side really took control of the game, and both keeper’s emerged from the half with relatively little to do. The second half however, saw the visitors come out strongly, and deservedly took the lead in the 49th minute through Harry Douglas. Captain Ben Catt levelled things up in the 57th minute, and with the game looking like it was heading for a draw, it was the visitors’ Charlie Douglas who found himself running through on goal and neatly putting the ball past George Armstrong to secure the three points. In truth, the visitors deserved the win, and Matt Angell’s side now need to return to winning ways quickly, if they want to maintain control of the title race.
