Match Report
Matt Angell’s side progressed to the 2nd Round Proper of the FA Vase on Saturday with an excellent win over Brook House at Stag Meadow. The home side dominated the early exchanges, but found themselves one down in the 30th minute when the visitors’ Lewis Davis put them ahead against the run of play. 10 minutes later and it looked like we’d have our equaliser when Ross McKernon was brought down in the box, only for Adam Crocker to slip when taking his shot, and the ball trickled wide. But as is usual with this side, set backs do not phase and it was no surprise when in the 79th minute substitute Oli Bach neatly chipped the oncoming keeper to bring the scores level. 7 minutes later midfielder Ben Catt bundled home from a corner to put us 2-1 up and within sight of the next round. Deep in injury Oli Bach doubled his account and got our third to round off an excellent performance!
