Match Report
A brilliant hat-trick from Fiifi Carter got Matt Angell’s side back to winning ways in the Thames Valley Premier Division. In front of an excellent Stag Meadow crowd of 305, the home side were straight out of the blocks and the early pressure quickly told when Fiifi fired home a freekick on the edge of the box in just the 3rd minute. Despite heavy pressure from the home side, it took until the 38th minute for that lead to double when Isaiah Chase-Kelly was upended in the penalty area and Fiifi made no mistake from the spot. However, that two goal cushion lasted less than two minutes as our opponents went down the other end and Luke Phillips saw himself upended in the Windsor penalty area and Sam Whitehead halved the deficit. Windsor started the second half strongly and their heavy possession finally paid off in the 67th minute when Fiifi completed his hattrick. Overall, it was an excellent win for the home side, and with the league leaders not playing this weekend, Matt Angell’s side are now just two points from the summit.
