Windsor & Eton U18s vs Reading City U18s

Match Report

“It was a positive performance for sure and we are so proud of the boys for their graft and determination. To have no subs on the bench, be suffering with injuries and for some of these lads, this was their first time playing at Stag Meadow and in front of a crowd that size. We are really really proud of them and the journey this new group of players have been on since June. They’ve all come so far in their development since then and I’m sure they will develop even further if they keep this determination going.

Injuries are a massive part of football which we all have to deal with but I don’t think I’ve seen a side have this many. Thankfully a few of the lads should be back in training in the next few week and we’ll go from there. Thank you to the support of our great group of parents and club physio in getting them back to where they need to be.

We’ve now had three very positive performances where we haven’t just shined as individuals but as a team. This is a new, young side that we will continue to grow and develop over the coming months but we need to continue to build on these performances and look forward to Wokingham Town in our next fixture.”
