Our excellent start to the season continued on Saturday with an outstanding 5-1 win away at Langley in a top of the table encounter. We came into the game with a number of unavailabilities, but the way the side acquitted themselves, no one would have noticed. Oli Bach, on his first start of the season, put us ahead in the 38th minute, before Ben Catt, who filled in at centre half, headed home Shaquille Johnson’s free kick 2 minutes before the break. The second half couldn’t have started any better when the impressive Sean McDonnell made it 3-0 immediately after the re-start. Adam Crocker, after his two goals in the week, looked excellent up top and he added to his goals in midweek when he turned in a cross from Sean McDonnell in the 69th minute. George Dewhurst pulled one back for the home side in the 84th minute, but Crocker added a 5th to the tally with an injury time penalty after Josh Pedley was upended in the penalty area. This was a big win and the side move on to a trip to Bedfont in midweek with confidence sky high.
