Windsor & Eton went top of the table following a hard-fought 3-1 win at Burghfield. Rhys Ironmonger put the home side ahead in the 7th minute. However, just four minutes later Under 18s midfielder Lucas Lindstrup, in his first start for the 1st team, turned in Fiifi Carter’s corner to level the scores. Fiifi then went from provider to goalsorer in the 23rd minute when he rifled a free kick home from the edge of the box. The home side thought they were back in it in the 38th minute, when the referee awarded a controversial penalty, but George Armstrong dived to his right to keep Lewis Butler’s spot kick out. Skipper Ben Catt secured the 3 points early in the second half when he turned in Jemel Johnson’s free kick and Matt Angell’s side find themselves top of the table.
