Brook House Women vs Windsor & Eton Women

Match Report

Our women’s team were looking to get back to winning ways when they travelled to Brook House. The game between the sides at Stag Meadow had finished 7-5 so goals were almost guaranteed.

A slower than usual first half ended 1-0 to Brook House after they won a penalty which Tabs very nearly kept out but when the sides came back out after half time, we were a team transformed.

After a mistimed clearance from the Brook House keeper, Sophie reacted quickest and lobbed the ball over the retreating keeper to bring the scores level.

The keeper made amends and made a great save from Sophie’s next chance after Laura’s through ball. But from the resulting corner by Rachel, Emma D rose at the back post and we were 2-1 to the good.

Holly won the ball back in midfield and tried to find Sophie again but the pass was intercepted, Emma H made sure she was first to the loose ball and fired one over the keeper from 25 yards to make it 3-1

Emma H then slide one through for Lauren cutting inside and her first time finish found the bottom corner for 4-1

Brook House got one back with a ball through our defence against the run of play but Tabs pulled off a stunning fingertip one on one save to stop their momentum

That gave us the nudge to kill the game off. Rachel’s corner was controlled by Emma D and her volley was rifled into the back of the net.

We had time for one more when Sophie turned provider for Lauren to get her 2nd with a very calm finish and the team took 3 fully deserved points.
