Match Report
A crowd of 601 came through the turnstiles to watch the first Windsor derby at Stag Meadow. Matt Angell made numerous changes to the side from Saturday bringing back his rested players for this second game in 48 hours. On a carpet of a pitch and roared on by a huge WEFC supporter base, the home side won the early possession battles, but found it difficult to break through a resolute Windsor FC backline. The away side did enjoy some of their own chances, but it was little surprise when the home side did eventually take the lead in the 41st minute when new signing Pawel Kowallkowski went through and lifted the ball over the keeper to the delight of the home fans. The second half didn’t see many chances for either team, but overall it was a comfortable three points for the home side, which extends the lead at the top of the table.
