Match Report
Matt Angell’s side extended their winning run in the league to 10 games following a tough encounter against a well-drilled Holmer Green side at Stag Meadow on Saturday. The visitors dug out saw the return to Stag Meadow of Keith Scott, who successfully guided the original Windsor & Eton to League and Cup triumphs in the early noughties. In a cagey opening 45 minutes it was the visitors who enjoyed the better chances, with Jeffrey Fordjour and Alex Colverd both going close. And it was perhaps fortunate that we were on level terms at the break. But the home side finally broke the deadline in the 64th minute when an inswinging corner was headed home by Mo Davies from an extremely tight angle. A flurry of substitutions followed, but it was the home side that held on and maintained their lead at the top of the table.
