Match Report
Matt Angell’s side progressed to the semi-finals of the Berks & Bucks Charles Twelftree Cup, with a comprehensive 5-1 victory over Shrivenham FC at Stag Meadow. Despite the visitors taking an early lead in 14th minute, when Brad Hirst pounced on a mistake by goalkeeper George Armstrong, the home side hit back with two quick goals just before half time. First, Fiifi Carter curled in an excellent low free kick and then Ash Howes squeezed one underneath the keeper, to make it a far happier dressing room at the break. Jemel Johnson put the game to bed just 4 minutes into the second half as he made it 3-1. This was swiftly followed by a 4th when Ash Howes grabbed his second, three minutes later. Winger Isaiah Chase-Kelly put the icing on the cake in the 84th minute, with the home side’s 5th. It’s into the semi-finals now, and a home draw against Burghfield on the 13th January.
