Comp: Great Western Suburban League

Windsor & Eton continued their build up to the new season with a 2-0 win over Zamaretto League Division One Central side Aylesbury.

First half strikes from Ikenna Ofoche and Jemel Johnson secured the win for a strong Windsor side.

Windsor were without Ryan Bernard, Narada Bernard and Jake Parsons along with Michael Chennells who is still on trial at Brentford.

A quick start from the Royalists saw them take an early lead when Ofoche race through onto Justin Clayton's long ball and beat the keeper.

Aylesbury almost pulled level, forcing Tom McNeill into a fine save with the resulting corner clipping the bar as it went over.

Johnson then set up strike partner Ofoche but his effort came back off the pot with David Pearce's follow up effort going wide.

Windsor did double their lead late in the half when Ofoche crossed for Johnson who managed to control the ball then dispatch an overhead kick past the keeper.

Ofoche should have added a third on the stroke of half time when Ashley James slid the ball through leaving him only the keeper to beat but he couldn't find a way past.

The second half saw numerous changes for both sides and a lack of chances with the only one of note going to Windsor's Adam Dickens who's free kick was pushed away by the keeper.
