Comp: Great Western Suburban League

Windsor & Eton completed their warm up to the new season with a 3-2 win away at Zamaretto League Division One Central Marlow.

First half goals from Justin Clayton, David Pearce and Ikenna Ofoche set Windsor on their way with Marlow hitting back either side of half time.

As early as the opening minute Adam Dickens tested the home keeper with a free kick that he turned round the post.

From the resulting corner Jake Parsons sent the ball into the box where Dave Woozley heading wide.

Parsons continued to send corners into the box in quick succession with Fiston Manuella and Woozley both heading wide.

A Parsons corner did eventually lead to Windsor going ahead when Woozley flicked the ball on for Clayton to head in at the far post.

Windsor continued to dominate and double their lead mid-way through the half when Jeff Brown picked out Ikenna Ofoche who set up David Pearce to send a looping volley over the keepers heads.

Just after the half hour Windsor added a third when Ofoche twisted and turned past the home defence before firing the ball across goal with the keeper giving the ball a helping hand into the net.

A brief moment of good 1st half play saw Marlow pull a goal back when they managed to break allowing the home forward to fire past McNeill with the ball going in off the post.

The second half saw a marked improvement for the home side and reduced the deficit further when Chris Owens was beaten allowing the forward in to beat McNeill at his near post.

Marlow continued to have the better of the second half but neither side could produce an effort close to adding to the scoreline.
