Windsor & Eton suffered a second home defeat after a 2-1 loss against Didcot Town.

Having picked up two good results on the road they arrived back at Stag Meadow to slip to their second loss this season.

A poor first half for the Royalists saw Didcot start strongly and soon take the lead.

Alex Stanley swung the ball into the Windsor area allowing Michael Bartley to just get the ball over the line.

That could have been his second had he not been denied moments before by a fine save from Delroy Preddie.

Elliott Osborne-Ricketts then hit the bar with a header from a Jamie Heapy cross before Windsor drew level.

Jake Parsons free kick was headed goalwards by David Woozley and fumbled by Sam Worrell allowing Sam Wadieh to knock the ball into the net.

Osborne-Ricketts was denied an almost instant reply when he broke through but could find n way past Preddie.

Didcot did however manage to get back in front on the half hour when Osborne-Ricketts' corner found Bartley who managed to bundle the ball over the line.

The second half saw a marked improvement from the Royalists and almost drew level minutes after the restart.

Jeff Browns cross found the head of Michael Chennells who's effort and follow up were both saved by Worrell.

A string of changes by both sides unsettled things slightly but it wasn't enough to get Windsor back in the match.
