Windsor & Eton picked themselves up after the disappointing Bank Holiday defeat to win 2-0 away at Brackley Town.

And, just like after their previous defeat, they put in a performance that warranted the win they got.

Windsor started the brighter of the two sides and came very close to taking an early lead.

David Pearce managed to cross from the left to find Michael Chennells but he was unable to lift the ball over Darren Acton.

Brackley had their chances but they were denied by an on form Delroy Preddie who had to make two fantastic saves from Owen Story and Tom Winters.

Chennells then rattled the frame of the goal when he got on the end of Jake Parsons cross.

The second half continued to see Windsor on top and they were soon ahead.

The Brackley defence fail to clear Parsons free kick and Chennells was the quickest to react and slam the ball in off the underside of the crossbar.

The lead was quickly doubled when the ball rolled through to Acton and as he attempted to clear the ball it rebounded off Fiston Manuella and trickled into the goal.

Brackley tried to turn up the pressure and get back into the game but were limited to half chances with the best of those falling Story and Josh Green.
