Windsor & Eton picked up a well deserved and valuable point with a goalless draw away at Cambridge City.
The Royalists welcomed back midfielder Fiston Manuella along with new signing Paul Robinson from Hayes & Yeading.
As with recent games the Royalists got off to a slow start with Cambridge claiming the early pressure.
John Kennedy managed to get himself into the area and let off an effort that went just over the bar.
As the half progressed Windsor started to make an impact and when Leon Soloman found Paul Robinson his goal bound effort was block by Justin Clayton.
Moments later Fiston Manuella almost capitalised on some slack marking when he struck from 30 yards only to be denied by a fine save from Zac Barrett.
Lee Chaffey almost turned the ball into his own net to give Windsor the lead when he got a little too close to David Pearce's low cross.
From the corner Barrett had to be on hand to tip Sam Wadieh's header over the bar.
There was no let up at the start of the second half as within the opening minute Jake Parsons put Adam Bernard though but Barrett did well to deny him.
Cambridge showed moments of being able to break the deadlock mainly through Ashley Fuller who first struck just over and then his cross was somehow turned over the bar by Chris Owens.
From that corner Cambridge were denied again when Chaffery's header was cleared off the line by Parsons.
Windsor, or more precisely Robinson, finished the half with a flurrish when first he saw Barrett spill his effort wide of the post and then sent a header just wide.
